Our June newsletter brings exciting announcements about scholarship extensions, new courses at Herts, a Duolingo English test and some good news stories!

Duolingo English test accepted

We can now accept the Duolingo English Test as proof of English language for entry to Herts for any programmes that accept IELTS equivalent tests. The test maps to IELTS for scoring and additional information is available on their website.

Our Admissions Team are working closely with Duolingo to ensure tests are verified and secure.

The Duolingo test is available online, takes around 1 hour to complete and applicants should receive results within 2 days!

Time to top up deposits

With many applicants sending through partial payments this year, now is the time when they should be topping up to their full £5000 deposit.

Admissions can issue CAS now for any applicants who have cleared all conditions and paid their full deposit, so please encourage any applicants who have not sent their full deposit through to top up now.

Extension to secure the King's Award Scholarship

Due to popular demand, we are delighted to be able to offer an extension to our popular King's Award Scholarship! To give more applicants a chance to secure a £2000 discount on their tuition fees, they now need to pay their deposit by the 30th June 2024.

Available for all taught postgraduate applicants classified as international for fee purposes joining the University campus in the UK in September 2024 for the first time.

New MBA routes available

The University has launched 11 new MBA programmes, each specialising in a certain subject of interest!

The new routes are;

• Master of Business Administration (Advertising and Brand Management)
• Master of Business Administration (Artificial Intelligence)
• Master of Business Administration (Data Analytics)
• Master of Business Administration (Digital Marketing)
• Master of Business Administration (FinTech)
• Master of Business Administration (Global Business Development)
• Master of Business Administration (Healthcare)
• Master of Business Administration (Human Resources)
• Master of Business Administration- (Logistics and Supply Chain Management)
• Master of Business Administration (Project Management)
• Master of Business Administration (Risk Management and Investment)

New two year PG Engineering courses

The University has launched 16 new two year postgraduate engineering programmes for September 2024, each with either an advanced project or extended professional practice!

• MSc Power Electronics and Control with Advanced Project

As the new programmes are two years, the tuition fees are higher than their one year counterparts, but a perfect opportunities for applicants looking for increased experience alongside their degree. Perfect timing for them to be one of the first Herts students to use the new Spectra building!
