Master of Education redesigned |
The redesigned Master of Education offers 10 specialisations, and a range of electives. All existing specialisations have been refreshed and there are two new specialisations: The Science of Learning, and Digital Futures and Innovative Practices. The updated compulsory and foundation subjects support students to transition into the degree, along with assisting them to make decisions about specialisation options. The new version is available in Semester 1, 2025. Commencing Semester 2, 2024 students will be contacted by the University with any updates to their course structure.

Information related to undergraduate applications |
GCE A-Level equivalency entry requirements for undergraduate applicantsFollowing a comprehensive review of our current entry requirements, we have implemented revisions to better enhance the transparency and fairness of our admissions process, while also maintaining our commitment to academic excellence.
The following GCE A-Level score requirements will be effective from 1 July 2024: |
|
|
|
^ Meet any additional academic requirements necessary for application to the undergraduate degree. These include prerequisite subjects, tests, portfolio submission, interviews or auditions, and our English language requirement, if applicable.
These changes will only apply to applicants who submit their applications after 1 July 2024. Applications received prior to July 1, 2024, will continue to be assessed based on the current GCE A-Level scores.
Please be aware that this update exclusively pertains to GCE A-Level scores, and does not impact the equivalency standards for Singapore A-Level scores.
Verification process for students applying with Canadian Year 12 academic documentationCanadian high school qualification holders from all provinces and territories will now need to have their transcripts sent directly to the University or verified before receiving an unconditional offer. These changes aim to reduce risk and streamline our procedures while maintaining a student-centric approach.
A dedicated email address (app-verification@unimelb.edu.au) has been created for receiving verified documents. Postal address details will be provided for applicants who require a mailing address for their verified documents, although postal submission is not recommended due to delayed delivery and lack of guarantee of receipt.Bachelor of Biomedicine mid-year 2024 intakePlease note that international places for the Bachelor of Biomedicine in the mid-year 2024 intake are now full. All eligible applicants will be issued with an alternative offer for start-year 2025 (conditional and unconditional). The offer lapse date for applicants offered an alternative Start-year 2025 offer will be 31 August 2024.
A short Biomedicine waitlist is being created, with a small number of applicants to be added to the list in the event there is any availability in the mid-year intake. A small number of applicants will be added to the waitlist - in date order - and will be notified. There is no guarantee that a waitlist place will become available, as we are experiencing very high demand for this course in the mid-year intake. |
