The University of Tasmania's 5-year Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine(BMedScMD) will prepare your students to take a front-line leadership role as a doctor in healthcare delivery.

In Years 1 and 2, students will learn foundational knowledge in medical science and clinical skills, with short clinical placements around Tasmania. Years 3, 4 and 5 are based in one of our three clinical schools for immersive clinical placements and electives.

We have teaching centres across Tasmania at the Medical Science Precinct(Hobart), the Hobart Clinical School (Royal Hobart Hospital), the Launceston Clinical School(Launceston General Hospital) and the Rural Clinical School(North West Regional Hospital, Burnie).
The Medicine Program at the University of Tasmania has a 100% intern placement rate in Tasmanian hospitals.

Join the Director of the Medicine Program, Associate Professor Anthea Dallas for a program overview, followed by an interactive case study led by Dr Amelia Lee. You will also hear from our current medicine international students who will share their experiences studying and living in Tasmania.
