专业介绍
This LLM aims to give you the ability to deliver sound academic and practical knowledge and ability to provide clients with top-level counsel. You will be introduced to the institutions, standards and case law which structure human rights law. There is a focus on key issues of human rights, such as socio-economic rights; rights of women; international child rights and the crimes of the powerful. You'll also debate the uses of universality and cultural relativism in relation to human rights. You will attend a range of activities including the evening and lunchtime guest lectures. You will also benefit from London being the home to a large number of major human rights organisations. The Human Rights Law Centre is the first association between a university and a non-governmental organisation established to provide scholarly expertise, research and teaching on national and international human rights.
