Note 1: This course is a prerequisite for further study in this Masters program. It is situated at the front-end of the program so that students are given sound contextual knowledge about the discipline of social work before moving into their first social work field placement experience. Students are required to pass this course before they can progress into a field placement. This course is studied in distance mode from the beginning of the specified trimester through to the compulsory intensive at the end of the course.
Note 2: Students can transfer to the Dissertation pathway after the completion of 7001HSV and all related eligibility criteria (see degree requirements for details) have been successfully met.

Note 2: 7041HSV is taught online in Trimester 1. 7021EHR is taught on-campus Trimester 2 only. Students wanting to complete online studies should choose 7041HSV in Trimester 1 or 7101NRS in Trimester 2 or 3. International students will be required to complete either 7509GBS on-campus in Trimester 1 or 7021EHR on-campus in Trimester 2.
