The Strategic Information Technology Services (SITS) portal for Admissions will go live from October 2024

The University of Plymouth is moving to a new student records system, SITS. This implementation will impact applications from October 2024. The move to SITS is in a bid for the University to remain competitive, standardise processes and transform how we support the student journey from start to end.

When the new system is setup, all our contracted Agents will have a dedicated portal to submit, view, and monitor applications on behalf of applicants. Agents will also be able to track an applicant's progress when the applicant submits directly and tags them as their Agent. Applicants will remain responsible for any updates to their personal details, such as name, date of birth and nationality. Applicants will also retain the functionality to make payments and provide any financial information through their own portal.

Below is an indicative view of the Agent portal in SITS. Within the portal, it will be easier for an Agent to view the progress of an application and communicate with the applicant. It will also be clearer to the applicant at what stage their application is in the process.

Guidance and supporting materials will be provided to Agents via the University of Plymouth’s Agent’s Newsletter and portal before the first phased go live in October 2024.
